Low
Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
LDPE (Low Density
Polyethylene) has less hardness, stiffness and strength in comparison
to HDPE (high Density Polyethylene) but better ductility. It is
opaque in appearance, with only thinner LDPE films offering some
transparency.LDPE resins (Low Density Polyethylene) are re-emerging
as a valuable product family, combining superior clarity with stiffness
and density favoured by converters for down-gauging.
L.D.P.E is used predominantly in applications where heat sealing
is necessary. (L.D.P.E) Low Density Polyethylene is also used to
manufacturer washers, grinding wheel blotters and in wire and cable
applications. Further applications for LDPE specific to our industry
include:
Bearing Plates
Washers / shims
Wire and cable
wrap
Insulators
Sealing Strips
Electronics
Tank / Chute Bin
Linings
Plastic Profiles
Protective edge
trim
