Copolymer Acetal is a highly versatile engineering polymer that bridge the gap between metals and ordinary plastics. Acetal has mechanical strength, stiffness and toughness. Copolymer Acetal aslo has high impact strength and mantains very good dimensional stability with low water absorption. Acetal is used in many static and dynamic industrial applications replacing the usual materials like Steel, Brass, Bronze, Cooper and Aluminium. Acetal have improved 'part life' because better wear, more chemical and corrosion resistance. Acetal will reduce factory noise, and will reduce and eleminate the use of lubrificants. Acetal's broad range of applications like, washers, wear pads, bearings and electrical insulator. Plastic Shims and Gaskets would advise the die-cutting of Acetal material is up to 1.5mm thick due to slightly brittle nature characteristics of Acetal.
